Bob Milton, 93, of Weldon, IL passed away 5:42 PM May 22, 2019 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Weldon Fire and Rescue.

 

Bob was born April 23, 1926 in Rural Farmer City, IL the son of Ora and Gertrude (Matlock) Milton. He married Joyce Adams November 29, 1947 in Weldon, IL. She passed away October 16, 1978.

 

Survivors include his children, Marty (Carol Elliott) Milton, Urbana, IL; David (Paula) Milton, Champaign, IL; Peggy Stanley, Weldon, IL, 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Bill Milton, Edmond, WA.

 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 grandson, and longtime companion, Oleta Baker.

 

Bob was a member of the Weldon Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. He served on the Weldon Fire Department for 65 years and became Fire Chief and later a Trustee of the Fire Dept.  He was an oil and gasoline retailer at Weldon Oil Company and Bob’s Oil Company in Clinton.  Bob was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan.
