Ronald M. Ziegler 77 of Wapella, IL passed away 4:30 A.M. May 21, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones at his family residence.

 

Services will be 10 AM, Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Chaplain Bob Goebel officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Military Honors. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Fire Department or Second Chance Pet Adoption.

 

Ronald was born April 9, 1942 in New Salem, IL the son of Wilbur and Hazel (Galloway) Ziegler. He married Dianne Kay Hoffman August 25, 1962 in Clinton, IL. She passed away January 15, 2009.

 

Survivors include his children, Deborah K. (Michael) Brady, Wapella, IL; Kelly R. (Jason) Gearhart, Dixon, IL; and Ronald Stephen Ziegler, Pana, IL; 6 grandchildren; sweetheart, Joan Koons, Clinton, IL; siblings, Joyce, Mt. Pulaski, IL; Vickey, Farmer City, IL; and David, Sun City, AZ.

 

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Richard.

 

Ronald served the U.S. Airforce from 1960-1961.   He was a member of the Clinton Fire Department from 1969 – 2004 as well as the F.O.E. Lodge #593.
