Alexander Kovacsik, 84, passed away at 11:38 p.m. on May 14, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Alex was born on January 7, 1935 in Hungary. He married Margaret Shaffer on November 19, 1983. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1996.

Alex is survived by his "family”: Dean (Judy) Kukuck of Lincoln, IL and their family and Todd (Donna) Kukuck of Louisville, KY and their family.

Alex served in the Hungarian Army in the 1950s and move to the United States in the 1960s. He was a gentle and kind spirit.

Services for Alex will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Christian Village Congregate Building with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made in Alex’s name to the Christian Village. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
