Richard R. “Rick” Davis, 62, of Deland, passed away at 11:10 a.m., May 10, 2019, at his residence.

Rick was born November 26, 1956, in St. Louis, MO the son of Paul D. and Linda L. (Chilcutt) Davis. He married Deborah S. “Debbie” Prescott on June 11, 1977, in Cahokia, IL.    

 

Rick is survived by his wife, Debbie Davis of Deland; son, Jason Davis of Washington, IL; grandson, Jacob Davis of Washington; and brother, Ronnie Davis of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents.   

 

Rick worked as an A-Man operator at Humko in Champaign. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America, woodworking, fishing, and coaching youth sports.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.

 

Memorials may be made to the Renal Disease Association or the Diabetes Association.
