Sandra J. Roop-Holt, 79, of LeRoy joined the Lord on Saturday (April 20, 2019).

 

She was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Bloomington, to Alva and Mildred (Messamore) Mitchell. She married Paul Holt on April 25, 1997, in Bloomington. He survives.

 

She is survived by her children, Ricardo (Phyllis) Roop, Effingham; Ronda (Johnny) Roop-Cameron, LeRoy; and Timothy Roop, Ipava,; two grandsons, Joshua Roop and Sckyler Cameron; one granddaughter, Bethany Grace Roop; one great-granddaughter, Lyric Roop; three sisters, Irma Martin, Verla Fullerton and Judie Platt.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother, Roland Lee Mitchell.

 

Sandra loved her family very much.

 

East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.

 

A celebration of life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 25 at the First Assembly of God, Normal. Memorial contributions may be made in Sandra’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
