Betty J. Spaugh 78 of Clinton, IL passed away 8:33 A.M. April 19, 2019 at her family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow at Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

 

Betty was born September 30, 1940 in Stonington, IL the daughter of James “Matt” and Edith Helen (Lucas) Hodges.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Anderson, Riverdale Park, MD, son, John (Pilar) Spaugh, Yuma, AZ, very special companion, Robert Keelin, Clinton, IL, grandchildren, Blake, Grant, and Morgan Anderson; Michael, Thomas, and Anthony Spaugh; Riley and Grant Keelin, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings, Marilyn Blacker, Monticello, IL; Ralph (Judy) Hodges, Taylorville, IL; Weldon (Barb) Hodges, Taylorville, IL; Jane Besson, Taylorville, IL; Linda Leeds, Chicago, IL.

 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Chester and Marvin.

 

Betty served in the insurance industry for many years and was a member of the American Business Women’s Association.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
