Viola Ruth Harvey, 93, of Clinton, IL passed away 6:26 PM March 12, 2019 at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln, IL. 

 

Graveside services will be 2:15 P.M. Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements. 

 

Memorials may be directed to the DeWitt County Friendship Center or Little Galilee Christian Assembly.

 

Viola was born July 26, 1925 in Atlanta, IL the daughter of Franklin and Lelia (Emery) Strohkirch.

 

She married Edward Davis and then later married Maurice Lyle “Morey” Harvey in 1960. He passed away February 17, 1996.

 

Survivors include her children, Bill Davis, Orlando, FL; Sandy (Glen) Bowes, Palm Coast, FL; Theodore “Ted” (Louise) Harvey, Franklin, IL; Beverly (Rick) Angel, Clinton, IL, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Roy (Deloris) Strohkirch, DeWitt, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 sisters.

 

Viola was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL and The Red Hat Society. She volunteered at the Kids Corner Preschool at First Christian Church, Little Galilee Christian Assembly, DeWitt County Friendship Center and also the Grandparent Program.
