Sara E. Williamson, 62, of Richardson, TX, formerly of Clinton, IL passed away at 1:54 PM, March 5, 2019 after a courageous battle with colon cancer at Medical Center of McKinney, McKinney, TX.

 

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Sara’s life will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Jim and Mikki Burns’ home, #4 Sophia Ct., Clinton, IL.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with local arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Medical Center of McKinney, 4500 Medical Center Dr., McKinney, TX  75069.

 

Sara was born September 24, 1956 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Albert A. “Al” and Donna L. (Johnson) Vermillion.  She married Mark Williamson September 1, 1979, and they had two beautiful children, Carrie and Hunter. 

 

Sara leaves behind her children, Carrie Shea Saunders, Richardson, TX and Hunter James Williamson, Richardson, TX; siblings, Mikki (Jim) Burns, Clinton, Il.; Barbara (Harlan) Powers, Clinton, Il.; and Diana (John) Leach, Maroa, Il., and several nieces and nephews.

 

Sara was preceded in death by her Parents and Grandparents.

 

Sara graduated from Southern Illinois University and then received her Master’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Health Education.

 

Carrie and Hunter were her greatest accomplishments.
