Patricia Ann Weikle, 78, of Maroa, IL passed away at 12:22 PM, February 24, 2019 at her family residence, Maroa, IL.

 

Services will be 10 AM Friday, March 1, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with DMH Hospice Chaplain Jan Dial officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL.

 

Memorials may be directed to Maroa Fire Dept, American Heart Assoc., or American Cancer Society. 

Patricia was born December 16, 1940 in Canton, IL the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Hardy) Burgess. She married Darrell Weikle September 29, 1963 in Decatur, IL.

 

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Weikle, Maroa, IL; children, Pam Weikle, Maroa, IL and Tim (Patty) Weikle, Taylorville, IL; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Alex, and Kate.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Sperl and his wife, Lucille, and Bill Burgess and his wife, Nell.

 

Patricia was a nurse in Decatur for 53 years, and the last 23 years of her career she worked on the OB Floor at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, Illini Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and watching her grandchildren play sports.
