Betty Jean Fenton McLemore 85 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 7:34 PM January 19, 2019 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

A time to reminisce with family and friends will be held at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with cremation rites.

 

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.

 

Betty was born December 9, 1933 in Johnston City, IL the daughter of Thomas Edward and Juanita (Anderson) Bray. She married Earl Fenton. She later married Dale McLemore in 1981 in Alcoa, TN and he preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her children, Bob (Sandy) Fenton, Scottsboro, AL; Lee Ann (Ron) Pollock, Clinton, IL; Kenny (Kathy) Fenton, Decatur, IL; stepsons: Mark (Sherrie) McLemore, Yakima, WA, Matt (Diane) McLemore, Taylorville, IL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Louie (Carol) Bray, Decatur, IL; Virginia (Bobby) Effler, Alcoa, TN; Dale (Beverly) Bray, Decatur, IL.

Betty was preceded in death by her Parents.

 

Betty was a life long homemaker and nanny to many children. She enjoyed cooking, get-togethers, stopping quickly for yard sales, and her knick-knacks. She attended the First Nazarene Church in Clinton. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, who she truly loved and held dear to her heart. 

 

The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to the CNA’s, Nurses and the entire staff of Liberty Village, along with Dr. Brit Williams for the tender care and love she received.
