Mae Louise Fitzgerald 95 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 1:19 A.M. January 2, 2019 at Liberty Village, Clinton, Il.

 

Private Graveside services will be Monday, January 7, 2019 at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton, Il. There will be no visitation.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.

 

Mae was born June 20, 1923 in Hamel, Illinois the daughter of William Robert and Mabel (Florence) Brewer. She married Harold Dean Fitzgerald February 1945 in Peoria, Il. He passed away January 1, 2014.

 

Survivors include her brother, William (Karen) Brewer, Jr., Stephens City, Virginia; and special friend, Jeff Moore, Clinton, IL.

 

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Major Rodney H. Fitzgerald on April 30, 1980.

 

Mae was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.  Mae and her husband owned and operated Fitzgerald Jewelers, Clinton, Il. which opened April 1, 1957. They then opened a second store in 1978 at the Hickory Point Mall, Forsyth, IL.  Harold and Mae also owned the Meadow Lakes Subdivision on Route 10 west of Clinton.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
