Wilma E. Evans, 91, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at 3:10 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the Farmer City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Farmer City, Illinois.

 

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, Illinois, with Pastor Danny McCubbins officiating.

 

Arrangements are entrusted with Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

 

Mrs. Evans was born May 25, 1927, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Allie Dee and Ola P. Spencer Bowles. She married Delmar E. Evans on March 15, 1960, in Gibson City, Illinois. He passed away April 12, 2011.

 

She is survived by her one daughter, Pam (Billy) Thomas of Farmer City, Illinois; two grandchildren, Bradley Thomas and Lena Thomas; one brother, Willis (Adriana) Bowles of Farmer City, Illinois; one sister, Thelma Parr of Urbana, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Wilma was a cashier at Eisner’s Grocery store in Farmer City, Illinois, for many years and later a CNA at Jackson Heights Nursing Home, Farmer City, Illinois.

 

She attended Cowboy Church, Farmer City, Illinois.

 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by all.
