Lloyd Chaudoin

Lloyd L. “Lucky” Chaudoin, 74, of Normal, Illinois, passed away December 30th, 2018 after a brief battle with liver disease.

 

He was born July 11, 1944 in LaPorte, Indiana, to ElRey Eugene and Betty Wood Chaudoin.  He married Sue Smith on August 6th, 1977 in Bradford, Illinois.  She survives.  Also surviving is his daughter, Bree Chaudoin (Keri Jackson); granddaughters, Makayla and Abigail Jackson, Kennedee Nott, and Hanna (Collin) Salzenstein; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws that he loved very much, who have all provided incredible support.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in the Vietnam era.  Most of his career thereafter was spent as a police officer and correctional sergeant for the Dewitt County Sherriff's Department in Clinton, Illinois.  In his free time, he loved spending time in the outdoors, boating and fishing.  He also had a passion for cars and riding motorcycles and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs.

 

At his request, there will be no services.  Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Any memorial donations will be made to local animal rescue and veterans organizations.
