Joyce was born on Oct. 14, 1939 in Senath, Mo., the daughter of Truman and Levertia (Sandefer) Randl. She married Kenneth D. Crowell on Feb. 24, 1957 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1999.

 

Joyce is survived by her four sons, Steven (Diane) Crowell of Lincoln, Everett (Dawn) Crowell of Lincoln, Keith (Sarah) Crowell of Missouri, and Ronald Crowell of St. Louis, Mo.; her daughter, Evelyn (Ricky) Shewmake of Lincoln; one brother, Larry Randl of Missouri; one sister, Carolyn (Gary) Danison of Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, William; one sister, Margaret Crowell; and one grandson, Joshua Crowell.

 

Joyce was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Minier. She served as a volunteer at Zion Lutheran School, with the Foster Grandparent Program.

 

A graveside service for Joyce will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

 

Memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s name to Liberty Baptist Church, Minier.
