Rose Marie Kagel, 85, of LeRoy, died at 12:20 p.m. Friday (Nov. 16, 2018) at Heritage Health in Bloomington. At her request, no services will take place.

 

She was born on Feb. 6, 1933, in Waynesville. She is the daughter of Joseph and Veta Pfeifer. She married Kenneth Kagel on Aug. 12, 1951.

 

Surviving are three children, Richard Kagel of LeRoy, Barbara (Steve) King of LeRoy, and Tom (Marty) Kagel of Randolph. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bobby (Renee) Kagel of LeRoy, Jenni (Jeremy) Medler of Savoy; Brian (Mindy) Kagel of LeRoy; Matthew (Christian) King of LeRoy; Heather (Todd) Hahn of Newman; Linda (Jeff) Reick of Downs; Tammy (Mike) Shelmadine of Arrowsmith; Stacie Roberts of Downs, and several great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kagel; a son, Fred Kagel; a granddaughter, Brenda Kagel; and her beloved dogs, Miah and Dutches.

 

Marie helped her husband work on the family farm and also worked at Farm & Fleet for many years. She loved her flowers, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

 

The family would like to thank Advocate Hospice and Hollybrook Assisted Living of Bloomington for their loving care and support during this time.
