Jean worked at Webster School as a cook and for many years she worked at Gibson’s Ace Hardware in Clinton, IL. Everyone called her Jean or Mom or Grandma or GG. She loved being a grandmother and prioritized her family. She loved to plant seeds and nurture them into flowers, trees, fruits and vegetables. She was an excellent gardener, cook, baker and even fisherwoman. She enjoyed camping and traveling; she and Dob made many friends along the way pulling the fifth wheel and seeing most of North America. Jean saw beauty in things others didn’t, an old boot became a planter for chicks and hens, old jeans became Jackets by Jean. She adored a crowded dinner table and always had dessert. She would always squeeze in another plate for late joiners, all were welcome, and she always made plenty of food. Jean took meals to friends that couldn’t cook anymore. She loved to dance in the kitchen with Dob. Now Jean and Dob are dancing again.
