Lillian E. Ashley, 93, of Farmer City, formerly of Bellflower, passed away 1:15 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 8, 2018) at Farmer City Rehabilitation & Health Care

A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. Memorials may be made to Bellflower Christian Church.

Lillian was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Blue Ridge Township, Mansfield, a daughter of Roy E. and Lillian Grace Warnick Shobe. She married Hursel Ashley on April 9, 1949, in Farmer City. He passed away Oct. 23, 1980.

She is survived by her brother, Franklin Shobe, Bloomington; and two sisters, Mary Bartosik, Heyworth, and Betty J. Hendricks, Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Lillian farmed with her husband in the Bellflower area. She was a member of Bellflower Christian Church; Senior Social Club, Bellflower; and Bellflower American Legion Auxiliary. Lillian was a volunteer with Farmer City Peace Meals for several years.
