Betty Jane (Runyen) Copher 73 of Maroa, IL passed away 6:02 A.M. November 6, 2018 at her family residence, Maroa, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Pastor C.Q. McMillion officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Friday at the funeral home,

Betty was born November 30, 1944 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Elmer “Fat” and Betty (Vantries) Runyen. She married Russell Copher on June 29, 1970 in Decatur, IL.

 

Survivors include her husband: Russell Copher, Maroa, IL; children: Brenda Long, Mendon, IL, Donna (Donnie) Hiland, Augusta, IL, Stan (Burt) Brischle, Mt. Zion, IL; Rusty (Joshua Roberts) Copher, Clinton, IL; grandchildren: Kelsey (Tyler) Creasy, Bowen, IL, Taylor (Jarrod) Rhodes, Decatur, IL; Lance (Paige) Hiland, Augusta, IL and Larissa Hiland, Augusta, IL; 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her pen-pal and very dear friend of over 64 years, Bernice McDermott of St. Marys N.S.W., Australia.

 

She was preceded in death by her Parents, grandchildren: Michael and Cassie Henze, brother, Ron Runyen, Sister-in-Law, Joyce Runyen.

 

Betty had worked at Revere Copper and Brass, Inc., and Wal-Mart, Clinton, IL. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, watching deer around Clinton, Il. and reading books.
