Martha Gene Miles 91 of Maroa, Illinois passed away 8:47 PM October 15, 2018, at Fair Havens Christian Village, Decatur, Il.

 

Graveside Services will be 11:30 AM, Friday, October 19, 2018, at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Martha Gene was born December 26, 1926, in Pocahontas, IL the daughter of Frank and Lydia (Hoyles) Stewart. 

 

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Angela) Miles, Maroa, IL; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Murphy; 4 brothers, and 1 sister.

 

Martha Gene worked at J.C. Penney, Forsyth at the Candy Counter and was known as the “Candy Lady” and later worked at Dave’s Food Basket in Clinton. She enjoyed gardening, playing organ, and crafts.
