Charles Russell Taylor

Charles Russell Taylor, 64, of Fisher, formerly of Mansfield, passed away at 3:46 P.M. Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Heartland Health Care Center, Champaign, Illinois.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Fisher Foursquare Church with Pastor Joyce Gibson officiating. There will be no visitation. 

 

Memorials may be made to the Charles Russell Taylor memorial fund, c/o Fisher National Bank. 

 

Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, in charge of arrangements.

 

Charles was born June 8, 1954, in Gibson City, Illinois, a son of William E. & Mamie M. Shultz Taylor. He married Janie L. Hardwick on October 31, 1970, in Tennessee. She passed away March 6, 2009.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Tanya J. (David Christopher) Wall of Fisher, Illinois, and Amy J. Taylor of Fisher, Illinois; five grandchildren, Timothy T. Wall, Tyler C. Wall, Adrian M. Carr, Miracle R. Wall, and Madyson I. Wall all of Fisher, Illinois; siblings, Peggy J. Gaines of Le Roy, Illinois, William E. “Billy” (Pam) Taylor of Arrowsmith, Illinois, Johnny L. (Kim) Taylor of Lexington, Illinois, and Gladys F. Massey of Saybrook, Illinois.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie L. Taylor; daughter, Charlene R. Wilhelm; parents, William E. and Mamie M. Taylor; siblings, Joyce P. Walker, Jewel “Bea” Embry, Lila M. Moore, and Delores A. Bigger.

 

Charles worked for Tri Star Marketing Inc. Mobil Super Pantry in Mahomet, Illinois.

 

Charles was a loving husband; father; grandfather; brother; uncle; great friend and will be missed by all.
