Rodger David Nixon

Rodger David Nixon, age 65 of Paducah passed away, at 11:51 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah. Rodger was a native of Clinton, Illinois. He was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ.
 
He was born on June 4, 1953 to the late James Sheldon & Margaret Tuggle Nixon. He was retired from Paducah/Louisville Railway where he served as Train Master. Rodger David, recognized as Rodger to some and David by others, loved golf, played pool, rode Harleys and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. He loved to travel and be with his family and friends.
 
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lisa Hall Nixon; one daughter, Shae (Drew) Ramage, Boaz, Kentucky; two sisters, Kathy (Denny) Rich, Clinton, Illinois, Marjorie (Steve) Parrott, Eugene, Oregon; five brothers, Larry (Jill) Nixon, Portland, Maine, Jim Nixon, Clinton, Illinois, Doug (Carolyn) Nixon, Mapleton, Illinois, Fred (Brenda) Nixon, Fishers, Indiana and Ben Nixon, Clinton, Illinois; two grandchildren, Ross and Riley Ramage; dear friends, Roger (Patti) Bushong, Rodney (Debbie) Bushong and Ronnie (Kathy) Rorer; several nieces and nephews.
 
Services were held September 7, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Marcus Thomas officiating.
