Donna Jean Brickey, 89, passed away at 7:45 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, IL on August 8, 2018.

 

Donna was born on January 13, 1929 in Clinton, IL; daughter of Tony Enoch and Lillie Ellen (Holsapple) Daniels, SR. She married Robert Franklin Brickey, SR. on November 11, 1947 in Owensboro, KY. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1989.

 

Surviving Donna are her children: Robert Franklin JR of Mt. Pulaski, IL, John Wayne (Vicki) Brickey of Lincoln, IL, Lucinda Chapman of Wonder Lake, IL, and Leslie Ann Papesch of Lincoln, IL; eight grandchildren: Christopher (Julie) Chapman, Steven (Elizabeth) Chapman, Josh Bloodworth, Kyle Papesch, Cara (Alex) Ethington, Nathan Brickey, Erica (Chris) Cowan, and Buck (Jessica) Rifner; nine and a half great grandchildren: Lexy, Jaydon, Kenrick, Ben, Andrew, Leah, Harlyn, Isabella, Carter, and one due in December. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and four sisters.

 

Donna was of the Christian faith. She loved playing bingo, gambling, reading, embroidering, playing cards, and she was the best pie maker in Logan County.

 

A Memorial Service for Donna will be 11:00 a.m. Monday August 13, 2018 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to service, 9:00-11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial at Carlyle Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
