James L. Orrick Jr., 77, of Atlanta, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 1, 2018) at St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln.

 

His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta. The Rev. Larry Collins will officiate. A time of visitation with his family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

 

James Lee Orrick Jr. was born Dec. 9, 1940, in Bloomington, the son of James Lee and Lois Smith Orrick Sr. He was united in marriage with Lynda McKown on June 4, 1977. She survives.

 

James is also survived by their son, Stephen Orrick; his children, Michelle (Bret) Roop, Jody (Keith) Simpson, Jeff Orrick and Stephanie (Pat) Estes; his stepchildren, Julie (Gary) Frantz, Beth Howard and David Miller; two brothers, John Orrick and Steve (Nancy) Orrick; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Christen Henderson.
