William H. “Butch” Shepherd Jr., 51, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at 12:48 P.M., Sunday, July 29, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

 

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, August 6, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois. A private inurnment will be held in Randolph Township Memorial Cemetery, Heyworth, Illinois, at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tammy Dunbar Shepherd.

 

Mr. Shepherd was born February 11, 1967, in Normal, Illinois, to William H. “Butch” Shepherd Sr. and Marjorie Ellen Deerwester. He married Tammy M. Dunbar on April 11, 2015, in Hudson, Illinois. She survives in Heyworth, Illinois.

 

He is also survived by his father, William H. “Butch” (Lisa) Shepherd Sr. of Sullivan, Missouri; stepfather, Dale Williams of Lincoln, Illinois; three children, Briana (John) Coakley, LeAnne (C. J. Dawson) Shepherd and Grand Shepherd all of Heyworth, Illinois; three grandchildren, Tristen Kavanaugh, Chloe Clesson and Jayden Kavanaugh all of Heyworth, Illinois; and four sisters, Tina (Carl) Ross of Atlanta, Illinois, Christina Kisner of Bloomington, Illinois, Shari (Marvin) Gordon of McLean, Illinois, and Cindy Cotner of Shirley, Illinois.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother.

 

Butch worked as an excavator all over the McLean County area. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping, gardening, mushroom hunting, and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

 

He was a loving husband and father.
