Wallace Junior Lamb

Wallace Junior Lamb, 94, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at 1:19 A.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Farmer City Rehabilitation & Health Care.
 
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 27, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois. A Masonic Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with the funeral following, Rev. C. Don Ferrill will officiate. Burial will be in Goose Creek Township Cemetery, DeLand, Illinois.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Farmer City Masonic Scholarship Fund, Joe Williams American Legion Post 55 or to Fred G. O’Malley V.F.W. Post 6190.
 
Wallace was born March 22, 1924, in Clinton, Illinois, a son of Wallace Filmore and Emma Lula White Lamb. He married Clara Belle Larson on October 14, 1946, in Macon, Missouri.
 
He is survived by his wife, Clara Belle Lamb of Farmer City, Illinois; children, Kenneth (Laura) Lamb of Morrisville, Vermont, Owen (Doris Ann) Lamb of Mansfield, Illinois, Eugenia (Michael) Watson of Seymour, Illinois, and Donna (Edward) Krauss of Farmer City, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Nathan (Jen) Lamb; Tammis (Tyson) Kelley; Justin (Alisa) Lamb; Jeremy (Marissa) Lamb; Megan (Adam) McCloud; Emily Bailey; Hannah Watson; Sarah (Shannon) Montgomery; Tony (Christie) Krauss; and Claire (Eric Feinburg) Krauss; and 16 great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Wallace was a retired electrician from the University of Illinois. He was a WWII army veteran serving as a Corporal in Battery C 770TH FA BN in Normandy in the European Theater. He was wounded and received a Purple Heart. Wallace was a life member of the Farmer City Masonic Lodge 710; a member of the Bloomington Consistory; life member of the Fred G. O’Malley V.F.W. Post 6190, Farmer City; life member of the Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City; and a member of IBEW Local 601, Champaign.
