Joanne (Woolums) Stafford ,68, of Maroa, IL passed into the arms of her Savior at 9:45 AM, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Fair Havens Christian Village, Decatur, IL.

 

Services will be 2 PM Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 1 – 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Maroa Christian Church or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

 

Joanne was born January 2, 1950 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Darrell E. and Betty (Roby) Woolums. She grew up in Maroa along with her twin brother, Joe, older brother, Darrell and sisters, Patricia and Jean.

 

Joanne was blessed with a son, Shane Stafford of Denham Springs, LA and two grandsons, whom she adored, Nathaniel Ness of Decatur and Gabriel Stafford of Denham Springs, LA. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant twin sons, and sister, Jean.

 

Joanne was a member of the Maroa Christian Church. She loved small town living and friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was a beautician by trade but enjoyed decorating, refinishing furniture and flower gardening.
