Albert Edward ‘Ed’ Selock, 67, of Monticello, passed away at 7:20 a.m., June 20, 2018 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.

 

Ed was born to Edward ‘Albert’ and Mabel Selock.

 

Ed is survived by his wife of 35 years, Anita Selock and son, Aaren ‘Ren’ Selock both of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents, ½ sister Claris Smith and a ½ brother John in infancy.

 

Ed was a retired parts manager. He enjoyed classic cars, softball, golf, hunting, trap shooting, and driving around the country in search of interesting architecture, natural wonders, and great places to eat. As a young man ‘Fast Eddie’ could be found at local car races across central Illinois. His ability as an amateur trap shooter earned him several awards. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

 

A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with a Memorial service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Piatt County Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
