Ronald Dean 'Bud' Hamilton

Ronald Dean "Bud” Hamilton, 88, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 3:39 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018, at his home in Le Roy, Illinois.
 
A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois.
Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
 
Mr. Hamilton was born March 10, 1930, at the Rust Farm West of Le Roy, Illinois, to Matt and Anna Smith Hamilton. He married Carol Jean Miller on September 14, 1952, in McLean County, Illinois. She survives in Le Roy, Illinois.
 
He is also survived by his two sons, Ronald (Karen) Hamilton of Le Roy, Illinois, and Randy (Deanna) Hamilton of Le Roy, Illinois; one daughter, Becky (the late Allen) Reynolds of Downs, Illinois; six grandchildren, Ashley, Adam & Austin Reynolds and Matt, Natalie & Madison Hamilton.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Delmar Hamilton and one sister, Darlene Price.
 
Bud was an Illinois National Guard Veteran and was activated 1946-1951.
 
Bud lived and farmed in the Le Roy area his entire life. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors. He could fix or repair anything. He also enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting and school activities and going to the fair to see their 4-H projects.
 
Bud was a member of the Ruel Neal American Legion Post #79, Le Roy, the Mclean County Antique Car Club, a lifetime member of the Le Roy Sportsman’s Club, and the McLean County Farm Bureau.
