Tamala "Tami" Ballenger, 62, of Clinton, passed away at 1:22 a.m. Thursday (May 31, 2018) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

 

Private graveside service will be Tuesday with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

 

Tami was born Feb. 25, 1956, in Bloomington, the daughter of Calvin and Donelda “Donnie” Haycraft Karr. She married Bob Ballenger May 2, 1981, in Wapella.

 

Survivors include her mother, Donelda “Donnie” Karr, Clinton; husband, Bob Ballenger, Clinton; children, Staci Ballenger, Clinton; Chad Ballenger, Clinton; grandchildren, Mackena and Jacob, Clinton; siblings, Darla (David) Nelson, Clinton, and Shelly (Brad) Kemp, Bloomington.

 

She was preceded in death by her father.

 

Tami worked at Ameren Illinois, Decatur, for 25 years.
