Leslie H. “Les” Riddle, 77, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 27, 2018, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois.

 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Le Roy Christian Church, 

Le Roy, Illinois, with Jeff Mayfield officiating. Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at the Le Roy Christian Church, Le Roy, Illinois. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Draft Horse and Mule Association or the Le Roy Christian Church.

 

Mr. Riddle was born April 11, 1941, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Harold L. and June Mitchell Riddle. He married Shirley J. Killion on May 10, 1991, in Bloomington, Illinois. She survives in Le Roy, Illinois.

 

He is also survived by his three children, Harold W. Riddle of Le Roy, Tammie J. (Phil) Bossingham of Murphy, TX and Scott M. (Staci) Riddle of Le Roy; four stepchildren, Steven E. (Kathy) Cline of Le Roy, Brian S. Cline of Heyworth, Kenneth L. Cline of Le Roy, and Darrin E. (Bobbi) Cline of Le Roy; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry J. (Kathy) Riddle of Taylorsville, NC.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, JoAnn Lauritson and one daughter, Stephanie Thomas.

 

Les was very active in the Illinois Draft Horse and Mule Association.
