Randall Scott Claflin, 61, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his home in Heyworth, Illinois.

 

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, June 1, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois with Rev. Richard Gray officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Friday, June 1, 2018, at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Carl E. Miller American Legion Post 624, Heyworth, Illinois.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association or the Carl E. Miller American Legion Post 624, Heyworth.

 

Mr. Claflin was born May 2, 1957, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Clarence J. and Barbara A. Golden Claflin. He married Rose Ann Gurley on January 1, 1997, in Heyworth, Illinois. She survives in Heyworth, Illinois.

 

He is also survived by his three sons, Derek S. (Aimee) Claflin of Normal, Illinois, Travis R. (Heather) Claflin of Addison, Texas, and Tristan R. Claflin of Decatur, Illinois; two stepchildren, Michelle Mumbower of Heyworth, Illinois, and Curtis Mumbower of Taylorville, Illinois; one granddaughter, Bree A. Claflin of Heyworth, Illinois; and one sister, Cimarron R. Claflin of Chicago, Illinois.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Randall was retired from Firestone.

 

He was an NRA Benefactor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He loved his Lab puppies.
