Mabel Louise Thomas, 92, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Christian Village.

 

Louise was born on October 28, 1925 in Cornland, IL; daughter of Ralph E. and Esther (Day) Cherry. She married Orville Raymond Thomas on March 3, 1944 in Urbana, IL. He preceded her in death.

 

Surviving Louise are her daughters: Vera Thomas and Mary George both of Lincoln, IL; three grandsons: Jason (Crystal) Thomas, Nathan Thomas, and SSgt Matthew (Kristina) George; five great grandchildren: Brady and Madison Thomas, Kalena, Madysin, and Aedin George; one sister: Vera Meadows of Salem, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons: Larry and Floyd.

 

Louise was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

 

Services for Louise will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Lincoln Christian Church with Paul Boatman officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service also at the church (9:00-11:00 a.m.). Burial at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be made in Louise’s name to Lincoln Christian Church or Christian Village of Lincoln. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
