William “Bill” Williams 68 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 9:13 PM May 20, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

 

No services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Bill was born October 5, 1949 in Jasper County, IL the son of Karl Sherman and Juanita (Beadles) Williams. He married Susan L. Scott, January 19, 2007 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife: Sue L. Williams, Clinton, IL; children: Jeanie (John) Venezuela, San Antonio, TX, Josh Williams, Carrollton, TX; step children: Preston Reed, Lincoln, IL, Mitchell (Nicole) Scott, Clinton, IL, Tammy Jackson, Springfield, IL, Chris Jackson, Clinton, IL; 10 grandchildren; siblings: Barb (Paul) Barnick, Decatur, IL and Sue (Mike) Thompson, Arlington, TX.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Bill worked for the Clinton Water Department for 3 years and retired from the John Warner Hospital & Health Services in Maintenance after 14 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill never met a stranger.
