Fayetta (Samuel) Isaac, 98, of Clinton, IL passed away 7:49 A.M. May 11, 2018 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Robin Mock officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.
Fayetta was born February 26, 1920 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Clyde Corwin and Jessie Faye (Bressie) Samuel. She married Chesley "Pete" Isaac November 25, 1944. He passed away May 9, 2005.
Survivors include her two nieces, Lynn (Louis) Vennard, Flat Rock, IL and Julie (Mark) Cole, Palmyra, IL; dear friend, Sharon Greenslate; and care-giver, Duane Glenn, Clinton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Corwin Samuel, and sister-in-law, Carmen Scott Samuel.
Fayetta was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL. She taught 35 years in Clinton, IL, Tennessee, Texas, and Alaska. She retired from the Clinton Community Schools in 1985.
Fayetta was a volunteer for the Cancer Drive and DeWitt County Blood Bank and activities of the First Christian Church. She was a life member of the Myrtle Chapter of the Eastern Star and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Clinton Country Club, a 25 year member of the Illinois Physical Education Association, and the Retired Teachers Association. Fayetta was a graduate of Illinois State Normal University, Normal, IL, Class of 1941.
