Lucille A. Simpson

Lucille A. Simpson, 104, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at 2:12 A.M., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Martin Health Center, Bloomington, Illinois.
 
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois, with Rev. Richard Gray officiating. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 18, 2018, at the funeral home.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heyworth Christian Church or the Heyworth Ambulance Service.
 
She was born on July 7, 1913, in Macon County, Illinois, to Frank and Bessie Beatrice Marsh Westerman. She married Lockwood M. Simpson on July 15, 1933, in Clinton, Illinois. He passed away January 11, 2000.
 
Lucille is survived by her son, Richard (Judy) Simpson of Bloomington, Illinois; daughter, Nancy Brown of Normal, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jeff (Patti) Brown of Sugar Grove, Illinois; Julie Hussong of Bloomington, Illinois; John (Dede) Brown of Goodfield, Illinois; Jim Brown of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Amy (Greg) Sutter of Normal, Illinois; and Matthew (Therese) Simpson of Helena, Montana; one stepgrandson, Andy (Angie) Scott of Bloomington, Illinois; eight great-grandchildren, Devin (Erica) Doran; Clayton Sutter; Connor Brown; Alysen (Fiancé, Matt Michey) Brown; Rachel Brown; Derek Brown; Dalton Brown; and Evelyn Simpson; four stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Lilly, and Ellora Doran; and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Verneil and William Westerman; sister, Maxine Johnston; son-in-law, Jim Brown; and a grandson-in-law, Mike Hussong.
 
Lucille was a member of the Heyworth Christian Church, Heyworth, Illinois.
 
She started selling Avon Cosmetics in 1964. She retired in December of 2015, after 51 years at the age of 102. She had been the top sales person in her district for more than 35 years. She had received numerous honors from Avon.
 
Lucille had been an election judge in Heyworth and helped with the Randolph Township Book auditing each summer.
