David A. Schlosser

David A. Schlosser, 79, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 3:00 A.M., Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
 
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 14, 2018, at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, Illinois, with Pastor Eric Swanson officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to Carle Cancer Center, Urbana, Illinois.
 
Mr. Schlosser was born March 19, 1939, in Normal, Illinois, to Delmar Arlo and Faye Elizabeth Matlock Schlosser. He married Judy A. Brown on June 22, 1958, in Farmer City, Illinois. She survives in Le Roy, Illinois.
 
He is also survived by his son, Mike (Kim) Schlosser of Rantoul, Illinois; daughter, Julie (Jeff) Warren of Champaign, Illinois; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Steve (Shirley) Schlosser of Bloomington, Illinois, and Tony (Sandra) Schlosser of Clinton, Illinois.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 
David was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Le Roy and has been a member of the Masonic Lodge # 673, Bloomington since 1965. In addition to being a farmer and selling farm equipment, David had sold office equipment and worked for State Farm as an underwriter. Along with being a sports enthusiast, David was a golfer and an artist. He was also a die-hard Cubs fan.
