Imogene Fern Zelhart

Imogene Fern Zelhart 93 of Warrensburg, IL passed away 3:50 A.M. May 8, 2018 at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.
 
Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Maroa United Methodist Church, Maroa, IL with Rev. Mary Alice Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at the Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with arrangements. 
 
Memorials may be directed to Maroa-Forsyth School District Foundation or the Maroa United Methodist Church.
 
Imogene was born February 15, 1925 in Green Valley, IL the daughter of Frederick J. and Fanny H. (Schroen) Worner. She married her husband of 58 years, John M. Zelhart September 3, 1955 in Green Valley, IL. He passed away October 30, 2013. 
 
Survivors include her children: John (Jill) Zelhart, James (Andrea) Zelhart, and David (Cindie) Zelhart all of Maroa, IL; 6 grandchildren: Corey (Emily), Warrensburg, IL; Matthew, New Orleans, LA, Marie (Fiancé: Jeremy Durbin), Downers Grove, IL, Jordan (Lindsey), Nashville, TN, Ryan (Diane), Maroa, IL, Brandon (Mariel), Nashville, TN; great grandchildren: Carly and Ellie Zelhart. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Dorothy Clauser, Helen Clauser, Mildred Krugler, Lawrence Worner.
 
She was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and member of Kappa Delta. She taught at the Maroa High School until she retired to care for her sick father and raise her family. 
 
Imogene was a most generous person who love the Lord and her family. Her smile could light up a room.
