Betty Jo Wilson

Betty Jo Wilson, 92, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 11:45 P.M., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at her home in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the funeral home. 
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, Le Roy, Illinois, Le Roy Emergency Ambulance Service or a charity of the donor’s choice.
 
Mrs. Wilson was born February 15, 1926, in Hudson, Illinois, to Wilbur and Mabel Jones Lawrence. She married James F. Wilson on October 6, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois. He passed away June 23, 2011.
 
She is survived by her son, Dr. David A. (Chris) Wilson of Columbia, Missouri; three daughters, Pamela J. Dotson of El Paso, Illinois, Patricia D. Wilson of Bloomington, Illinois, and Dr. Dixie D. (Steve) Reynolds of Normal, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Nicole Durham; Kristin (John) Rollins; Erin (Mike) Barbaro; Emily (Matt) Miller; Megan Wilson; Millie Reynolds; Weston Reynolds; Olivia Reynolds; and Chloe Reynolds; and five great-grandchildren, Ava Barbaro, Anthony Barbaro, Peyton Rollins, Makenna Rollins, and Sage Miller.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Kenny, Lowell, Robert, and Jim Lawrence, and one sister, Patricia Purinton.
 
Betty worked at General Electric, Bloomington for 20 years. She also helped her husband on the farm for many years. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Le Roy and a past member of the May Queen Rebekah Lodge #210, Le Roy.
