Theda E. Adams 81 of Clinton, IL passed away 4:50 AM May 5, 2018 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Andy Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the DeWitt Masonic Lodge #84 A.F. & A.M., Clinton, IL.

 

Theda was born May 8, 1936 in Assumption, IL the daughter of Harry and Janie (York) Whennen. She was raised by her foster parents, Bert and Margaret McCool. She married Elwood M. Adams, Jr. December 3, 1954 in Forsyth, IL. He passed away May 20, 2008.

 

Survivors include her son: Jeff Adams, Bloomington, IL; grandchildren: Bobbie Jo McCue, Clinton, IL, Byron (Reva Chehak) Isaac, Clinton, IL, Malory (Enrique) Alvarez, Bloomington, IL, and Athena Marie Dockstader, Bloomington, IL; 3 great-grandchildren: Caitlyn McCue, Maggie McCue and Abel Alvarez; son-in-law, Jerry Isaac, Clinton, IL; siblings: Ellen Stanton, MI, and Jack (Janet) Whennen, Decatur, IL. 

 

Theda was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter: Kathy J. Isaac, 1 granddaughter: Andrea Lynn Staley and 1 grandson: Jeremiah Adams.

 

Theda was a hostess for the Grecian Gardens in Clinton, IL. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
