Doug M. Vinson 74 of Maroa, Illinois formerly of Clinton, Illinois passed away 9:00 PM May 5, 2018 surrounded by his family.

 

Services will be 1 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Bob Sheets officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL with Military Honors. Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.

Doug was born December 30, 1943 in Clinton, Il. the son of Walter and Martha (Davis) Vinson. He married Sandra Fortner July 1, 1967 in Clinton, Il. She passed away June 15, 2012. He later married Pam Parker September 16, 2017 in Clinton, Il.

 

Survivors include his wife, Pam Vinson, Maroa, Il.; Children, Brian (Kimberly) Vinson, Linn Creek, MO; David (Traci) Vinson, Camdenton, MO; Step-Son, David (Miranda) Florey, Pontiac, Il.; 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren

 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister.

 

Doug served his country from 1966 – 1968 in the Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry, driving trucks, and playing and singing with his guitar.
