Lola Alice Lindner

Lola Alice Lindner, 85, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Le Roy Manor. 
 
Her visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce funeral home Le Roy, Illinois. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Jeff Mayfield officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial donations may be made to the Ruel Neal American Legion Post #79, Le Roy, Illinois. Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois, at a later date.
 
Lola was born April 1, 1933, to George Wilber and Ruby Lola Howell Clark in Galt, Iowa. While working as a waitress at the Champaign bus station she met her future husband, William. She married William John Lindner on June 6, 1958, in Champaign, Illinois. 
 
She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Carla) Lindner of Longview, Texas and Jeffery (Rhonda Codding) of Le Roy, Illinois; two daughters, Penny Wilson of Bloomington, Illinois and Lisa (Billy) Lowe of Le Roy, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Verl Clark of Georgetown, Illinois; sister, Vanessa (Dick) Mandrell of Clinton, Illinois.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Steve Givens, and brother, Virgil Clark
 
Lola retired from BroMenn hospital after 27 years of service. She worked in many different departments. She was a unit secretary, worked in the radiology department, and helped out anywhere the hospital needed her. In her spare time, she loved to sew and when the kids were younger she made many outfits for them. Lola was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
