Deborah 'Debbie' Faye Moore

Deborah “Debbie” Faye (Reid) Moore, 68 of Maroa, IL formerly of DeWitt, IL and later Clinton, IL passed away May 1, 2018 with her loving husband at her side.
 
She was born in Monmouth, IL on March 19, 1950, the daughter of Max and Faye (Nicholas) Reid. Debbie graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, IL in 1968. After spending time in California, she settled in Illinois when she married Dennis “Buck” Moore in 1978. Together they owned and operated the Country Store in DeWitt, IL while raising six children. Debbie enjoyed shopping, garage sales, and gardening; and is the creator of the famous Country Taters. She took great pride in retail and worked at Bergner’s, Von Maur and Walmart. She was a devoted wife and made many memories her family will cherish forever.
 
Debbie is survived by her parents: Max and Faye Reid of Savoy, IL; her husband of 39 years: Buck Moore of Maroa, IL; five children: Alicia (Brian Olms) Walters of Gurnee, IL, Stacy Morris of Clinton, IL; Melissa Dolbert of Clinton, IL, Adam (Rebecca) Moore of Clinton, IL; and Summer Moore of San Francisco, CA. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Hailey Moore, Kylie Jordan, Jack Morris, Reid Walters, Shelby Morris, and Alex Moore. She is also survived by her nephew: Carter Newnam and former spouse: Jesse Francis.
 
Her brother: Kyle Reid and daughter: Lindsey Moore, preceded her in death.
 
Services will be 3 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 1 – 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
 
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Debbie’s memory may direct that to the Debbie Moore Memorial Fund.
