Thomas E. Jean, 75, of Saybrook formerly of Farmer City, went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family, at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. 

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Stacy Landry officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City. Memorial donations may be made to Carle Hospice. 

 

Thomas was born October 8, 1942, to Thomas E. and Anna Rhodes Jean, in Arthur, IL. He married Regeanna Stover on January 22, 1959, in Tolono, IL. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Regeanna Jean of Saybrook; son, Richard Scott (Teresa) Jean of Saybrook; daughter, Jamey Jo Jean of Saybrook; eight grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. 

 

He was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Allan Jean, two brothers and two sisters.

 

Thomas retired from the University of Illinois. He loved hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
