Georgia Inger Clifton

Georgia Inger Clifton, 85, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 1:40 P.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois.
 
Memorial Service information will be released at a later date.
 
Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Hope Christian Church, Downs or Ruel Neal American Legion Post 79, Le Roy.
 
Mrs. Clifton was born June 1, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Adolph Christian and Ailene Gertrude Gilmore Midthun. She married Wesley George Clifton on October 7, 1961, in Oak Park, Illinois. He survives in 
Le Roy, Illinois.
 
Also, surviving are three daughters, Kari Beth Clifton of Pensacola, Florida, Juliane Marie Sama of Elmwood Park, Illinois, and Stephanie Rose Clifton of Carlock, Illinois; three grandchildren, David, Adam and Brian Sama; and one sister, Cecilia (Jack) Horner of Ames, Iowa.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and one brother, Adolph Christian Midthun Jr.
 
Georgia graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School in 1950. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Olaf College at Northfield, MN. She was a 1957 Graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago and then served there as an instructor. She was a volunteer nurse at Our Lady of Angels School, Chicago, and a registered nurse at Rush Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago and BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal and retired in 1995.
