David Eugene Gibson, 60, of Eleva, WI, formerly of Normal, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Mayo Clinic, Eau Claire, WI.

 

A graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 3rd, at Oak Grove Cemetery, 

Le Roy with Joe Willis officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 

Le Roy is in charge of arrangements.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart or American Diabetes Associations.

 

David was born January 31, 1958, in Gibson City, IL, to George Eugene and Joyce Ann Giberson Gibson.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his father and stepmother, George and Peggy Gibson, Normal; children, Mike (Jennifer) Shepherd, Heyworth, Daniel Shepherd, Bloomington and Rachel Dodson, Tampa, FL; siblings, Debbie Black, Pekin and Christopher (Dina) Gibson, Normal; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Grandparents.

 

David, an avid hunter, and fisherman never missed a chance to be in the outdoors. He loved his family, friends, the Cubs, and his Chicago Bears.
