Delores A. Billington, 81, of Atlanta, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 28, 2018) at her home.

 

A celebration of life visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. April 7 at the Atlanta Memorial Community House.

 

Delores Ann Miller was born May 18, 1936, the daughter of Donald E. and Vera A. Enockson Miller. She married Merlin G. Billington on Feb. 26, 1955. He survives.

 

Delores is also survived by four children, Theresa (David) Miley, Stephen (Penny) Billington, Sherrilyn (Hoot) Foss and Donna (Gary) Knight; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by one son, Merlin G. Billington Jr.; two brothers, Robert Miller and Donald Miller; and two great-grandchildren.

 

Delores was a 1954 graduate of Atlanta High School. She retired from Lehn & Fink after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, and crocheting.

 

Memorials may be made to Atlanta Rescue Squad, Safe Haven Hospice or American Cancer Society.
