Hollie Frances Dalton, 97, of DeLand, IL went to meet her Lord and Savior and the love of her life at 6:30 PM March 21, 2018, at Illini Heritage Rehab and Healthcare Center, Champaign, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Calvert Funeral Home, DeLand, IL with Pastor Bob Lane officiating. Burial will follow at DeLand Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Lodge Church of God.

 

Hollie was born February 11, 1921, in Naomi, Kentucky, the daughter of Fred J. and Clara (Burton) Cooper. She married Claytus Dalton October 16, 1942. He passed away January 16, 1999.

 

Survivors include her children, Eddie (Starr) Dalton, Urbana, IL; Freddie (Carmela) Dalton, DeLand, IL; Clay Dalton, DeLand, IL; 8 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren on the way; sister, Elizabeth Colleen Miller, Cowden, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Hollie was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 6 sisters.

 

Hollie was a member of the Lodge Church of God. In her younger years, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, quilting, cooking, baking, music, and singing on the radio with her sister, Stella. Hollie loved her family deeply and always welcomed all of them into her home with a hot meal, sweet treats, and open heart.
