Tyler William Franz

Tyler William Franz, 43 of Osage Beach, Missouri, formerly of Lincoln, Illinois, passed away March 1, 2018, at 10:04 am at University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. He was surrounded by family and friends. 
 
Tyler graduated from Lincoln Community High School in Lincoln, Illinois in 1992. He then attended and graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, St. Louis, Missouri in 1999. He was a pharmacist for 18 years most recently at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri where he helped to establish the anticoagulation clinic. 
 
He had a passion for lake life, boating and spending time with family and friends. He loved boats, cars, and looking for and getting a good deal on his "toys”. Tyler never knew a stranger and took the time to talk to others. He had a wealth of information about a variety of subjects and loved to share and talk. Tyler touched the lives of many people during his journey through life. He was a very caring soul and would always take time to meet the needs of others. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. 
 
He is survived by his mother Linda Franz, Lincoln IL, and sister Delyn Duggins,(Brian) Bloomington, IL, nephew Bryson Duggins;, aunts Rebecca (Donald) Cecil, and Janet Johnson, uncle Gary (Sharon)Funk; cousins Aaron (Debbie) Johnson, Amy (John) Tabor, Ryan (Becky) Johnson, Katelyn (Chad) Lewis, and Taylor Funk. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwain Franz, maternal grandmother and grandfather Buford and Elvera Funk, paternal grandparents Henry Franz and Gertrude Munsch, maternal uncle Richard Funk and paternal uncle Marvin Johnson. 
 
Services for Tyler will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Candida Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, also at the church. Burial at New Union Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association and Immanuel Lutheran Church. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
