Louise Mae Cardoni

Louise Mae Cardoni, 98, of Mt. Pulaski passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
 
Louise was born on August 28, 1919, in Lake Fork, IL the daughter of Oscar and Tereisa (Stengel) Shanle. She married Joseph L. Cardoni on December 26, 1942, in Camp McCoy, WI. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2004.
 
Louise is survived by her children, Ken (Gail) Cardoni of Chatham, Linda Van Hook of Forsyth, Bob (Lea) Cardoni of Danville, IA, Judy (Gary) Baker of Olive Branch, MS, and Deb Cardoni of South Milwaukee, WI; her eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Additionally, Louise is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Charles Shanle.
 
Louise was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski; she was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Ladies Auxiliary. Louise was a member of The Mt. Pulaski American Legion Auxiliary; and also served as an Election Board Judge. Louise enjoyed taking time to watch birds and squirrels. But above all else, Louise loved her family; especially spending time with her grandchildren.
 
Services for Louise will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30-11: 00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, also at the church. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski. Memorial donations may be made in Louise’s name to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or The Mt. Pulaski American Legion Auxiliary. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski.
