Alice Davis

 Alice Davis, 96, of Mt. Pulaski, died at 1:30 A.M. at Vonderlieth Living Center.
 
Alice was born April 25, 1921, in Potter County, South Dakota, the daughter of Tom and Vernita (Weckel) Wachter. She graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1939.
 
She was preceded in death by two sons, Martin in 1957 and David in 1963, and two sisters Beryl Mudget and Florence Beck.
 
She held offices in the Mt. Pulaski P.T.A. and District P.T.A., Women’s Club and Past Presidents Women’s Club.
 
She was a nurse’s aide at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital from 1965 to 1985. Then was on staff in activities and social service at the Christian Nursing Home for 20 years. She was the first president of the Nursing Home Auxiliary and was a volunteer & key person. She was a volunteer at the Mt. Pulaski Court House. Alice was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church.
 
She made many wedding and bridesmaids dresses and planned many weddings and showers.
Services for Alice will be held 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Mt. Pulaski Christian Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL. with Casey McCormick officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service (9:30-10: 30 A.M.) on Friday, January 26, 2018, also at the church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski.
